Orange Muskat Champagne Vinegar as Shrimp Marinade

Trader Joe’s sells this wonderfully flavored Orange Muskat Champagne Vinegar. It’s made from reduced orange juice, vinegar made from Champagne and slightly sweetened with muskat grapes. You can buy shrimp already shelled and deveined on skewers for about $2. each. Just pour the vinegar over the meat, or skewers in a glass baking dish, cover with plastic wrap, and refrigerate for an hour. 30 minutes is O.K. if you’re really in a hurry, then, grill shrimp on skewers for 3 minutes and serve. Besides being a tasty marinade, it’s also recommended to be used as an ingredient in a salad dressing, a drink, a fruit salad flavoring and even a dressing for Chinese chicken salad. Very versatile.
